YOUR FIRST STEPS
From your profile to the first hello.
This is how Almya works: create your profile, discover people and chat when you like each other. You can start with photos alone.
Updated ·
1. Sign in and create your profile
Sign in with ChatGPT or a code sent to your email. Your sign-in address is not shown to other members.
There are three steps: your details, whom you would like to meet, and your photos with an optional introduction. Enter your name or nickname, age, city and gender; choose whom and which ages you want to meet; select at least one interest you want to share.
Add between one and six photos of yourself. You can choose several at once, change your main photo and remove any of them. Before publishing, confirm that you are an adult and accept the community rules and information about how your data is used.
2. Discover people with shared interests
In Discover, browse profiles and filter by city, interests and profile format. Open a profile to read their introduction, browse photos or play an optional voice or video introduction.
Choose Like when you would like to get to know someone, or Pass to keep exploring. You can undo your last pass. People who have shown interest in you appear in Likes you.
3. If it is mutual, say hello
A match means both people have liked each other. The connection then appears in Chats, where you can send text, emojis and voice or video clips.
The chat list shows the latest message, time and unread messages. Conversation options let you report, block or disconnect. Disconnecting deletes that conversation and its clips for both people.
Your profile can change with you
In My profile, preview how you introduce yourself and edit your details, introduction, photos or preferences separately. Voice and video remain optional.
Email notifications for new matches, messages and likes are enabled by default when a verified address is available. You can switch off each type in My profile. Notifications are limited to reduce repeated emails and never include message contents.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to record voice or video to use Almya?
No. You can create your profile and connect with one photo. You can add up to six photos; voice, video and your written introduction are optional.
Can I message someone without a match?
No. Chat opens when both people show interest. Receiving a like does not oblige you to like someone back or have a conversation.
Can I hide my profile?
Yes. In My profile you can hide it and show it again. While it is hidden, other people cannot discover it or access your photos and clips.
Can I use Almya on my phone?
Yes. Almya runs in a phone or desktop browser. No app installation is needed. Camera and microphone availability depends on browser compatibility and permissions.
